What's one thing that makes you different??

Sometimes I'm like a geek guy trapped in the body of a girl. For example, I LOVE videogames. I'm totally addicted to this online game called "World of Warcraft" and play every night. A lot of my friends think it's weird that a girl would get so into videogames, but whatever. I love it and it's fun and a great stress reliever.
 

What's your fave movie or tv show of all time and why?

I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My friends and I used to even host "Buffy Night" where we'd all gather at someone's house, order pizza and watch the show. There were even rules - no talking until commercials, for example. (Though dreamy sighs when Spike walked on screen shirtless were given special dispensation.)

 

As for the "why" - the show was just so cleverly written. I love the banter, the Buffy'isms, the storylines, the characters - Joss Whedon, the show's creator is a genius.

 

What's your favorite teen author?

ME! Just kidding. I'm really not that vain. :P But do I have to just pick one author? Hm. Well I love Niki Burnham (Royally Jacked), Rachel Cohen (Gingerbread), Katie Maxwell (Emily books), Stephanie Meyer (Twilight), Ellen Schreiber (Kissing Coffins), and E. Lockhart (The Boyfriend List.) Just to name a few.

 

What did you do before you became a writer and why is being a writer better?

In addition to being a writer I'm a tv news producer for the NBC station in Boston. I get to do lots of cool stories - anything from investigating dangerous amusement park rides, to exposing animal abusers, to more light fluffy pieces about fashion, restaurants, and celebrities. I've interviewed some cool people too - for example, this last year I met Kevin Spacey, Mark Wahlberg, all the guys from Entourage (Vince's eyes are even MORE blue in real life!!!), etc. etc.

 

So when people are like "When are you going to give up your day job?", I'm like "Never!" I have a great day job. The only thing I'd like better about being a writer full time would be not having to wake up to an alarm and working in my pajamas. :)

 

If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?

I would want to be a socialite like Paris Hilton. How cool would it be to have practically unlimited money and all you're required to do is party all the time!
